RCSCC Warspite participating in helping out the Region of Waterloo Food bank by helping to pack boxes of food that will go out to the community and the province.  The cadets had a great time sorting food and learning about the Region of Waterloo Food Bank.  Cadets spent time learning about all the things that the Food Bank provides.

Some of the learning came that the Region of Waterloo Food Bank is the second largest in the province, only behind Toronto.  It also houses the biggest freezer sections and can support up to 50, 000 meals per day.  The Food Bank has also began to use a fresh food centre where it can convert large food items to smaller packages and fresh food to freezer, allowing for more donations.

RCSCC Warspite sorted enough food to serve 2, 734 meals, quite a feat and staff at the food bank said that the cadets sorted with enthusiasm and efficiency.
